This is the car I raced at Deer Park in 1968 and 1969. It was built to 1966 A/Altered specs. Unfortunately, the Altered classes in those years made a VERY dramatic shift as it went from a fun class to a PRO racer class. By the time I got the car assembled, I couldn't afford to be competitive with it. But I've ALWAYS had fun. Best 1/4 mile was 11.92 @ 125mph
This is how it looks today. I feel very fortunate to have kept it all these years.
Oh, and YEAH, IT'S GOT A HEMI. A 1957 392cubic inch engine rescued from a wrecked 300C
